Teaching

Philosophy

When we learn any instrument, we are developing a relationship. Like any relationship, it requires patience--with ourselves and with the instrument. It requires us to listen and understand. As you get to know your banjo better, you will get to know yourself better as a musician.

Mark does not have a "one size fits all" teaching method. No two students are alike, and everyone learns differently. In addition to finding out about your current playing ability, Mark will seek to find out how you like to learn and what you want to learn, then meet you where you are.
